Fly-tippers cover field in massive pile of garbage

Illegal dumpers have discarded a massive amount of garbage in a rural area in Oxfordshire.
The "environmental crisis occurring in public view" is approximately 150m (490ft) long and 6m (20ft) high.
The huge heap has materialized in a plot of land alongside the River Cherwell near Kidlington.
Elected official raised the situation in parliament, declaring it was "risking an ecological catastrophe".
An environmental charity stated the illegal garbage pile was established around a month ago by an organised crime group.
"This is an environmental catastrophe taking place in public view.
"Daily that passes elevates the risk of poisonous seepage getting into the waterways, contaminating animals and threatening the condition of the whole catchment.
"Environmental authorities must act promptly, not in extended periods, which is their standard reaction time."
Access ban had been established by the environmental authorities.
It is challenging to identify any specific pieces of waste as it seems to have been pulverized with soil combined.
A portion of the waste from the peak of the heap has fallen and is now just five feet from the stream.
The River Cherwell is a feeder stream of the River Thames, which means it flows through Oxford before meeting the Thames.

The MP requested the authorities for support to clear the illegal site before it caused a inferno or was swept into the aquatic system.
Informing elected representatives on this week, he declared: "Lawbreakers have discarded a mountain of illegal plastic waste... amounting to substantial weight, in my district on a water-adjacent land adjacent to the River Cherwell.
"Stream volumes are rising and temperature readings indicate that the rubbish is also heating up, elevating the risk of blaze.
"Environmental authorities stated it has limited funding for regulation, that the projected cost of disposal is larger than the complete annual funding of the local district council."
Government official said the administration had inherited a struggling recycling sector that had caused an "widespread problem of unauthorized fly-tipping".
She informed MPs the organization had issued a prohibition notice to halt further access to the site.
In a announcement, the organization said it was looking into the matter and requested for details.
It said: "We acknowledge the public's concern about incidents like this, which is why we intervene against those accountable for waste crime."
